| On September 26, 2009, teams will compete against other Boston area organizations in an endurance race to determine who is the “Best of the Hub” corporate kart racing team. Participants enjoy a great indoor racing facility, food and entertainment while raising money for research, programs and services to fight the leading cause of disability for people in the United States—Arthritis.
Each team consists of five members racing an F1 car. The qualifying heats will be run on two F1 courses where each team will participate in a 60-minute practice and qualifying race. Teams then move to either the consolation or the championship races where they will have the opportunity to race for the checkered flag.
To enter, teams must raise a minimum of $5,000. While this is usually donated from a corporate sponsor (your employer), if you need our assistance raising the funds, the Arthritis Foundation Staff is here to guide you every step of the way until you meet your objective.
Your team's entry fee will provide marketing opportunities for your organization in our event materials, driver’s training instruction and practice rounds, qualifying races, consolation race, championship race, post-race party, awards and most importantly a donation to the Arthritis Foundation. Other post race entertainment includes dinner, casino and auctions featuring great items from sports memorabilia to luxury box tickets. What a great “team” event for your company!
We encourage employees, friends, family, and team sponsors to come out and enjoy the day. We will have plenty of children’s activities and we’ll provide a special reserved section of the grandstand area for spectators.
